Amplitude Phase Shift Keying (APSK) digital modulation schemes have a structural characteristic in which digital symbols are distributed in a circular pattern on constellation. Due to this structure, the maximum power to average power ratio can be reduced compared to the QAM (Quadrature Amplitude Modulation) modulation method, and the performance degradation in transmission can be reduced in a nonlinear channel environment. By using the Raised Cosine Filter, the channel width can be reduced to reduce power consumption and ISI (Inter Symbol Interference) can be eliminated to reduce signal distortion. The transmitter of the proposed modem consists of Serial to Parallel, I / Q Mapper and LPF (Low Pass Filter). The receiver consists of Decision Device, I / Q De-Mapper and Parallel to Serial. The proposed modem is implemented using MagnaChip Semiconductor / SK Hynix 180nm process. The circuit type is digital circuit and the power supply voltage is 3.3V. The maximum operating frequency is 20MHz. |
