In this paper, we have designed a low-complexity R-R interval adjustment circuit of an ECG waveform. The proposed system includes preprocessing, storage block, segment intervals detection stage, and R-R interval adjustment circuit. A 3-bit counter is used to distinguish between normal and abnormal heart rate. We designed a monostable multivibrator to adjust the R-R interval occurred at the abnormal. The designed multivibrator successfully adjusted the R-R intervals of fast and slow sinus rhythms. The database of the ECG signal recordings taken from MIT/BIH dataset is used to evaluate the performance of the proposed design. Results showed that the design successfully detected PR, QRS, ST and R-R intervals and also the R-R timing circuit successfully adjusted the irregularities. The proposed design operates in the range of 0.9 V to 1.5 V in 180nm CMOS process. |
