This paper describes a high voltage DC/DC buck converter interface circuit for electrostatic energy harvesting. The proposed system needs to be implemented in a 0.18 μm BCD process that is capable to operate the input voltage between 5 and 50 V. The electrostatic power sources tropically generate variable and short-time high voltage pulses. In order to track the variation of the input voltage and measure the corresponding input power, a new maximum power point tracking algorithm has been suggested.
