IP개요 | This proposal presents a novel multi-input boost converter for efficient energy harvesting from multiple DC sources. The proposed system employs a combined maximum power point tracking (CMPPT), which contains dynamic series-capacitor switching control (SCSC) and sub-maximum power point tracking (SMPPT) to extract maximum power from each source simultaneously. The CMPPT block maintains a primarily stable voltage source (VS1) at the maximum power point (MPP) of VS1 by frequency adjustment using the SMPPT and SCSC to exchange the buffer capacitor with the storage capacitors of secondary sources. This dynamic reconfiguration ensures efficient energy extraction from all sources, adapting to varying input conditions. This proposal demonstrates the system’s ability to adjust capacitor configurations and switch frequencies dynamically, enabling seamless energy transfer between sources and the load. The proposed architecture overcomes the limitations of conventional time-division multiplexing (TDM) and serial stack resonance (SSR) techniques, offering a robust and scalable solution for powering low-power electronics, such as IoT devices and wireless sensor networks, from ambient energy sources. |
