Wearable healthcare systems require measurements from electrocardiograms (ECGs) and photoplethysmograms (PPGs), and the blood pressure of the user. This paper presents PPG signal acquisition integrated circuit (IC) that can simultaneously measure PPG signal for wearable healthcare applications. The analog output from PPG signal is converted to digital signal using 12-bit successive approximation register (SAR) analog-to-digital converter (ADC). The total current consumption for the proposed IC is 340 μA with a 1.8 V supply. |
