digital-to-analog converter(DAC) on a component of a data drive IC that is definitely necessary in active-matrix organic light-emitting diode(AMOLED) display. A conventional binary-weighted current DAC(BCDAC) has the low power consumption and fast speed conversion since it is composed of simple circuits. But this is not suitable for a high resolution display because of the mismatching of elements and a expanded area as the number of bits increase. The proposed DAC is composed of BCDAD and a adding circuits using a operational amplifier(OPAMP). This DAC will be possible to express the high resolution and to be used in the data driver IC because it is easy to extend bits and has a smaller area than the conventional DAC.
