As various IoT devices have been released in the market, importance of security system implementable in IoT system is arising. One of the strong candidates for the research is silicon based physical unclonable function which generates unique key, a core element in most of the security solutions. Conventional PUFs for the applications have used the bi-stable characteristics of SRAM or sense amplifier (SA). Three main parameters evaluate performance of the PUFs: uniqueness, randomness and reliability. In order to improve the reliability, SRAM based PUF utilizing proposed response unstability detector based on response decision time is explained. The proposed PUF is designed under Magna/Hynix 180nm CMOS process. |
