The proposed WV-AZCD (Wide Voltage-Accurate Zero Current Detector) buck converter suppresses body-diode conduction and inductor reverse current during dead time. The proposed circuit detects the accurate zero current by self - calculating the time ratio of turn on time of PMOS and NMOS according to the output voltage range. The proposed WV-AZCD improves the efficiency of zero-current detection by reducing the power loss caused by transients. DC-DC buck converter with accurate zero-current detector operating at wide voltage was designed using 0.18um CMOS process. Designed circuit worked at 1.8V supply voltagae and 1MHz switching frequency.
