This work presents the design of neural interface analog front-end IC for implantable medical devices using Skhynix/Magnachip 0.18-?m CMOS process. The implemented analog front-end IC is comprised of a neural stimulator which can deliver up to 1 mA of current to the high impedance electrode-tissue interface, a low-power low-voltage low-noise neural recording amplifier which can process both action potential and local field potential signals in the band of 1 Hz to 5 kHz, and a high-voltage charge pump circuit to generate high-voltage DC supply for the neural stimulator circuit using 3.3-V input voltage. |
