MAPS utilizes the CMOS image sensor technology and is emerging as the main stream sensor in the field of high energy nuclear and particle physics experiments. We want to explore the potential of the 28 nm RF CMOS process offered by Samsung for the up-to-date MAPS. As the beginning of exploration, we adopt the pixel test structures developed by CERN /ALICE and try a special arrangement for readout. With the development, we will experiment and characterize a range of pixel-like configurations and the associated circuitries. Few more resilient submissions can prove the Korean potential and evolve into the Si device application in the field of high energy nuclear and particle physics experiments. |
