– Implantable biomedical devices with wireless power transmission technology can be the feasible solution to replace the battery powered implantable biomedical devices. In general, the implantable medical devices were powered using the two-coil based inductive coupling method. However, this method suffers from low power transfer efficiency because of low-quality factor and low coupling between the coils. Thus, this method is suitable only for the short distance power transmission. In recent years, considerable progress has been made in resonance-based wireless power transfer method for mid-field region. Rectifier circuits are critical in wireless power transmission to convert an AC signal to DC with good efficiency. |
