IP개요 In this article, we propose two independent circuit
architectures that utilize analog-to-digital converters (ADCs). First,
a random number generator (RNG) based on silicon nanowire (SiNW) is proposed. The output voltage of the bi-stable resistor
oscillates randomly within a certain range caused by impact
ionization. An 8-bit SAR ADC converts analog voltage to the digital
code stream. The sampling speed of ADC is 10 kS/s, and the overall output stream rate is 40 kb/s, taking the LSB 4-bits. It is expected to consume power under 500 nW. Next, a continuous-time (CT) incremental ADC (I-ADC) for bio-signal acquisition is proposed. The proposed low-noise low-power CT I-ADC has an SNDR over 80dB, operates up to 10kHz bandwidth, and enables multi-channel operation up to 16 channels.
