The purpose of this work is to develop a low noise analog front-end for directional hearing aid. With utilizing a novel microphone that mimics ormia ochracea's auditory system, a low power and low noise hearing aid system will be designed. The IC includes a preamplifier, a variable gain amplifier and an analog-to-digital convertor. It operates with a supply voltage of 1.8V and works within 20 kHz which is a typical audible frequency range. Magnachip 0.18um CMOS process is used to design the chip. |
